The Shoot Experience
What you can expert from your photo shoot and what you should do to prepare for the experience.
1. We don’t expect all dogs to be the pinnacle of behaviour, so if they do need to be kept on a lead this is obviously not a problem. Leads and collars are easily removed in post production. However we do have ‘show leads’ which are slightly narrower in appearance and can be used if needed.
2. Who doesn’t like a treat or squeaky toy? So we recommend you bring with you whatever your dog responds to best. We’ll have refreshing water for your dog with us too.
3. According to dogs, the world is a toilet. So poo bags are an absolute must.
4. Squirrels, birds, rabbits, cats, dogs, the world is full of them and so are most of the most beautiful places to shoot. We will chat to you beforehand about how your dog handles other small furries.
5. Expect to get a little dirty. I’ll spend most of the shoot on the floor probably but that’s not to say a dog owner won’t get a little dirty too. We’ll go through our expectations of you, on how to hold, handle, stand during the shoot.
6. It’s fun – great fun. We’ll have a laugh and I’m sure your dog will too!
7. Our shoot lasts around 90 minutes but that greatly depends on your dog. If your dog is an old lad or old lady, we’ll adapt what we do.
8. If you have a favourite place to shoot – that’s absolutely no problem. Our fees include travel in a 20 mile radius from YO8 9LQ. We’ll chat to you about this first just to make sure all safety precautions are in place for you and your dog. I’m not good with water so would sooner not have to jump in somewhere deep to save you or your dog.
9. All our imagery is edited with the utmost care and attention and takes a few weeks to be ready for you to view.
10. Following the shoot and our post production work we’ll contact you to show your our images (you may cry). We can then go through all the product options we have available. Our portraiture is not designed to sit on a phone, but take pride of place on a wall in your home.
